It all began when I was
potty training my oldestโ€ฆ

It felt way more overwhelming than I expected. Daycare said he needed to be potty trained, but he wasnโ€™t ready yet, and he was genuinely scared.

Most of the resources I found all felt too rushed or too rigid. It ended up one power struggle after another, with lots of tears (from both of us).

As a pediatric PT, my whole job is teaching kids new skills through play and connection. They donโ€™t even realize theyโ€™re learning because theyโ€™re busy having fun. And then it clicked, what if I potty trained him this way?

So I put his Batman inside of his little floor potty and covered it in a mountain of bubbles. He looked at me super confused, trying to figure out what I was doing. I picked up his Hulk and yelled โ€œHULK SMASH!โ€ and punched through our bubble mountain to rescue Batman. And he laughed so hardโ€ฆ right next to the potty that he had been running from.

And that was my aha moment.

Play got him close. Connection got him comfortable.

Now I help families find their own bubble mountain moment, so that this milestone feels less chaotic and more calm.

And this is how I teach inside Tiny Toilets now: playful, practical potty training that works with your child, and your real life.
